Welcome

Congratulations! You have made it to the blog. Well done.

On our blog you will find updates and photographs of the exciting things that we are doing at school. Please take the time to go through the blog with your child each week and celebrate their learning.

Note:School and grade wide notices are found in the e-Brief that is e-mailed to you every Friday, not on this blog. The blog is a celebration of the week and will include upcoming events.

The children have settled in extremely well to life in G1. We have spent the first two weeks getting to know each other through games and activities, establishing essential agreements and our responsibilities within the class.

Our first Unit of Study, "Communities", fits in very well with our learning so far. We are enjoying spending time together as a class and we will be moving on to thinking about the difference between needs and wants and how communities work together to address this.  We are starting to think about the communities that we belong to, the different roles people have, and most importantly, the part that we can play.

Lastly, I would like to thank Maddi's mum (Lola) and Rudelle's mum (Pankuri) for volunteering to be the 1LJe Class Parents. Thank you so much!

Have a super weekend everyone and see you next week.
Miss J and Miss Mary
