Week 5 in 1LJe

We have had a busy week filled with learning and lots of fun. On Thursday we met our buddy from the Boarding House. Her name is Lesian and she is from Russia. Lesian joined us for one of our Morning Meetings and we taught her how to play 'Wink, Wink'. We had lots of fun together and look forward to getting to know her this year. 

Every week we visit the library and enjoy choosing from the huge range of books. The 'Pop Up' books were a particular favourite this week. Which books from the Library do you really enjoy reading? There are so many to choose from! Don't forget that you are welcome to visit the Library with your parents and share some wonderful books with them.

Unfortunately, our trip to Forest Adventure on Thursday was cancelled due to the haze. In school we still had a great time working together doing different games and activities. One of the activities was a team challenge. 

The challenge was to build the tallest structure using only 40 cm of masking tape and 9 pieces of dried spaghetti. Everyone worked really hard and came up with lots of creative ideas. The tallest structure that was created measured 41cm! Why don't you try this at home with your family. I would love to see what you make!

This week we started our swimming lessons. Everyone had lots of fun in the pool. Check out the photographs in our album to find out more.......
