On Wednesday we visited our friends at Happy Lodge. Everyone had a wonderful time making beautiful Christmas decorations. The residents also enjoyed solving some Christmas puzzles! We are looking forward to welcoming our friends from Happy Lodge at school next Tuesday.
On Thursday we were very excited to take part in the Uniting Nations Performance. Everyone worked so hard to prepare for this during music lessons with Miss Shearer and at all of the rehearsals. The children looked fantastic in their special outfits. In our Morning Meeting we explained to the rest of the class what we were wearing and why it was important to us.
Another highlight of the day was the Food Festival. We all tried lots of food from all over the world. Tell your parents about some of the food that you tasted. Did you try something new? Check out the album below for some photographs from the day.......
Giving Tree
There is still time to bring in pre loved toys for the Giving Tree. It would be fantastic if 1LJe could be involved in this. Gifts should be clean and in good working order. They do not need to be gift wrapped. Please bring in any donations by Wednesday at the latest.
Shoeboxes
After the holidays we will need empty shoe boxes for a Service initiative. Please send them in to school when we return in January.
